 Holiday Party Fun!

Alice Miller at Sunny Neon Holiday Party

See entire photo album on the website

The fun and fantastic annual holiday party was hosted this year by Alice Miller at Sunny Neon in Pleasant Hill. The tables were loaded with traditional holiday fare and home made treats, and the toy basket was overflowing with donations for kids. The unplanned entertainment for the evening was the never-ending game of pool, where the winners included the audience, thankful that someone finally pocketed the 8-ball! A great time was had by all. A big thanks to Alice for hosting!
Volunteer Opportunity-Stonebrae Classic
April 12-18, 2010

Hey everybody - I know we are all up to our ears in holiday plans right now, but it's time to start recruiting volunteers for next year's Stonebrae tournament in Hayward, (if there's enough interest, maybe we can take over the Marshal duties on one hole like we do at LPGA Blackhawk).

For starters, I have some good news for this year's volunteers:  The cost will only be $40 instead of the usual $70.  Those that work at least 4 shifts -2 days - will be able to participate in one of the volunteer golf outings, TPC San Francisco Bay at Stonebrae (Dates to be announced). Each volunteer will also receive a pullover shirt, a hat or visor, volunteer credentials, parking, meals during your volunteer hours and 3 admission tickets.

Tournament dates are April 12 thru April 18, 2010 (I have not been told when we will have marshals on the course but expect us to work shifts beginning on Wednesday April 14th thru Sunday April 18th).

If you or anyone else (they don't have to be EWGA members) want to check it out and/or sign up click here

If you sign up, please put EWGA Northeast Bay in the Group Affiliation block so we can group our volunteers together.

If you have any question you can also contact Alice Miller: 925-382-4576 or alice@sunnyneon.com

 Happy Holidays, Alice
NCGA News
Semimonthly handicap updates

Women talkingIn recent months the USGA has announced that, effective 2012, all handicaps in the entire country will be revised on the 1st and 15th of every month.

Rather than waiting for the inevitable, the NCGA has decided to embrace this schedule immediately.  Beginning next month, NCGA handicaps will be revised on the 1st and 15th of each month . . . 24 revisions in all for 2010.  This new revision schedule will offer more timely handicap updates during our peak seasons and to those who post a lot of scores.

Rossmoor Sunday League-Change!
Check email for dates!

The Rossmoor Sunday League will not be playing every Sunday. Joanne Segovia will send an email to let you know the next play date. If you would like to sign up to be part of the email distribution list, contact Joanne Segovia at jcsegovia@comcast.net. The course is Creekside Course, Rossmoor Walnut Creek. When you arrive, tell the guard at the gate you are there to play golf with Joanne Segovia.
