Milestones Correction
 Last week, I announced Joanne Segovia's hole in one on January 12. I gave her a hard time for forgetting to tell me in her first email where she got it - then I forgot to put it in the eBlast!!! It was the third hole at Buchanan in Concord. Sorry, Joanne.

Member-Get-A-Member Campaign
Win a one-year free membership!
We're starting the year with the Member-Get-A-Member (MGAM) Campaign. From now until the end-of-the-year event in October every member who recruits a new member for our chapter and is recorded as the recruiter on the EWGA website (by entering your name on the new member's application form in the appropriate area) will be eligible for a variety of prizes. The grand prize of a one year Classic-level membership will go to the member who recruits the most new members (minimum 3 new members). Two runners up will receive either Nike sunglasses (value $99) or Nike watch (value $79). All remaining recruiters will be eligible for the remaining prizes donated by Nike through a drawing. For each new member you recruit, your name will be entered into the drawing. The more members recruited the more chances to win! All prizes will be awarded at the end-of-the-year event. The Membership Chair and her committee members are not eligible for any of these prizes.
Start recruiting! The kickoff event is a great place to bring your friends! In addition, the names of new members who join at the kickoff will be entered into a drawing for a special prize at the kickoff.

2009 EWGA Championship
Chapter Championship, Semi-finals & Finals
The Chapter Championship will be held at Franklin Canyon on June 13.
The semi-finals for the Northern California section will be held at Lincoln Hills Golf Course in Lincoln, Ca. (about 1/2 hour north east of Sacramento off Hwy 80) on Saturday, July 25, 2009.
The EWGA finals will be held at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida on Friday and Saturday, September 25th and 26th.

Envelope Stuffing for Kickoff
More Volunteers Needed
We have approximately 800 envelopes to stuff and mail to prospective members for the upcoming kickoff in March. Ginny Taylor has offered to host the envelope stuffing in her home in Pinole on Thursday, January 29th starting at 5:30pm. If you'd like to help us stuff envelopes, please contact Cathy Pementell at 510-635-9042 or email at membership@ewganeb.org so we know how many members to expect. You'll be given her address and directions to her home, if needed, at that time.
Also, if anyone has a name and address or email address of someone you'd like to invite to the kickoff - send Cathy the information and she will be sure to include them in the mailing.

EWGA Conference
February 18-21
Interested in attending the annual EWGA Conference? Outstanding golf, great food, fun, lasting friendships, networking, learning opportunities and unique social events are built into each of the four days of the 2009 "Dare to Lead, Dare to Grow" EWGA Conference schedule. There is a la carte pricing for those who wish only to attend one or two days. California Senior Women's Amateur Championship
May 18-20, 2009
The Senior Women's Amateur Championship will be held May 18, 19, and 20 at Corral de Tierra Golf Club in Salinas. Entry fee is $275 for 3 rounds of competitive stroke play (includes green fees, golf carts, Monday night reception & Wednesday Awards Luncheon). Click here for more information and entry form.
Open to female amateurs with USGA Handicap Indexes 22.3 or lower. Age Limit: 50 years and over on or before May 18, 2009. (Super Senior's Flight: 70 years and over)

Nationwide Tour Stonebrae Classic
March 30-April 5, 2009
Interested in volunteering for the Nationwide Tour Stonebrae Classic at TPC San Francisco Bay? The tournament director has asked us to put together a group to marshal a hole which will get the chapter credit in the tournament program. The cost is $80 (includes a pullover, shirt, hat or visor, lapel pin, credentials, parking, meals during your volunteer hours, and 3 admission tickets).
