 The next 18-hole event will be at Hiddenbrooke Golf Course in Vallejo. Hiddenbrooke is a challenging, Arnold Palmer designed course. It's a winner of Golf Digest's Best Places to Play, with a 4.5 out of 5 star rating - in California, only Pebble Beach and Spyglass received 5 stars!
The $92 price has been lowered to $87 and includes golf, cart, range balls and prizes. Please sign in by 9:15.

Breaking 100/Short-Game Essentials
Education Event at Tilden, August 15
 Join us at Tilden Park Golf Course in the Berkeley Hills at 10:30am on August 15 for a one hour clinic to review the essential short-game strokes: putting, chipping and bunker play. Cost is $55.
Instructor: Trish Hinze, Director of Instruction at Tilden Golf Course.

The next 9 hole event will be at Las Positas on August 8, time TBA. Cost is $21 - no driving carts are allowed on the 9 hole course, pull carts can be rented for about $2.

EWGA Semifinal Results
The EWGA Northern California Semifinals were held on Saturday, July 25 at the Orchards Course at Lincoln Hills. Temperatures were a little high (mid- to high-90s!), but NEB did well.

EWGA Sunday Golf at Hiddenbrooke
18 Holes with Sonoma Marin Chapter
The SNM chapter has invited us to play golf with them at Hiddenbrooke golf course. For the following Sundays in August, Hiddenbrooke golf course will be available to EWGA-SMN along with the NE Bay Chapter for $65 including cart for 18 holes of golf. Please contact the pro shop by Thursday 5pm before each playing Sunday at 707-558-0330 x206.

Golf Events of Interest
2009 CVS/Pharmacy Challenge Volunteer
The LPGA will be returning to Blackhawk the week of September 21-27. The past two years our EWGA chapter has been in charge of the marshals for hole #9, led by Alice Miller. Signups are now open online and if we get enough people we can once again volunteer to take hole #9.
When signing up please be sure to note you are EWGA. We will accept anyone with golf experience, they do not have to be an EWGA member. Alice asks that you email her to let her know you have signed up so she can make sure you are working with the EWGA team.
