The deadline for the next 9 hole event at Mission Hills Golf Course at 275 Industrial Parkway in Hayward on Saturday, July 18 has been extended again. Deadline to register is July 10. Start time is 9:30am, so please arrive by 9:00am. Cost is $23.

Fun Dinner at Fleming's
July 21, 2009
Let's get together for a fun night at Fleming's - just dinner, drinks and friends. Dinner will be at 6 pm on Tuesday, July 21st. Meet at the restaurant anytime between 5-6 for cocktails. Fleming's has generously donated gift certificates for our raffles and discount coupons for our Rossmoor twilight games. Hiddenbrooke - Next 18-hole Event
August 1, 2009 at 10:00am
 The next 18-hole event will be at Hiddenbrooke Golf Course in Vallejo. Hiddenbrooke is a challenging, Arnold Palmer designed course. It's a winner of Golf Digest's Best Places to Play, with a 4.5 out of 5 star rating - in California, only Pebble Beach and Spyglass received 5 stars!
The $92 price includes golf, cart, range balls and prizes. Please sign in by 9:15.

The next 9 hole event will be at Las Positas on August 8, time TBA. Cost is $21 - no driving carts are allowed on the 9 hole course, pull carts can be rented for about $2.

2009 CVS/Pharmacy Challenge Volunteer
The LPGA will be returning to Blackhawk the week of September 21-27. The past two years our EWGA chapter has been in charge of the marshals for hole #9, led by Alice Miller. Signups are now open online and if we get enough people we can once again volunteer to take hole #9.
When signing up please be sure to note you are EWGA. We will accept anyone with golf experience, they do not have to be an EWGA member. Alice asks that you email her to let her know you have signed up so she can make sure you are working with the EWGA team.

Metropolitan Coupon for Practice Rounds
Metropolitan has given us a downloadable coupon for practice rounds this week. Please note that one copy of the flyer must be handed to the counter staff to get this special offer but the offer is valid for up to eight players each time. You may bring guests who are not playing in the tournament.
For those tournament players who like the course enough to want to play again, you can use the coupon until the end of July. You just have to bring in a copy of the coupon each time.
The coupon is good for Monday - Friday anytime, $40 each includes cart; Sunday anytime, $50 each includes cart. No other discounts or specials apply.

Volunteers Needed!!!
Lincoln Hills, Friday & Saturday 7/24-25
Volunteers are needed for the EWGA Semi-Finals at Lincoln Hills. Positions are open for a Semi-Final Site Administrator (email eblast@ewganeb.org for a description and application) and the following volunteers: Player Registration (2 on Friday & Saturday), Starters (2 for 2.5 hrs. Saturday morning), Scoring (2 volunteers for 3 hrs. on Saturday), Spotters (3-6, 2.5 hr. shifts on Saturday), Photographer/Roamer (1-2, 2-3 hrs.). Volunteer benefits include a complimentary lunch, experience with Tournament Administration, networking with members of other chapters, an EWGA logo shirt.
