2009 Annual Charity Event at Vintner's in Yountville Saturday, May 9, 2009  We need a lot more players for this great event - please sign up soon! This is our annual charity event, so we'd love to make a lot of money for Wardrobe for Opportunity. While it may appear to be a relatively costly event, please remember that your registration fee covers range balls, golf, cart, a sandwich for lunch, and a full dinner (including wine). We will net over $20 per person for the charity. It really is a bargain - and well worth every cent! This is our only males-welcome "Family and Friends" event - it's the perfect time to introduce your significant other, children, and/or friends to the crazy women you play golf with. We'll be playing scramble, with a shotgun start. There will be lots of games and prizes including a putting contest from 9:30-10:30, the 50/50 raffle pot (funds in the pot come from purchase of mulligans, so bring some cash), and prizes for the 1st place, 2nd place, and last place scramble teams. It's a great event to bring potential new members - each new member you bring in this year makes you eligible for great Member-Get-A-Member prizes at the end of the year. | Dublin Ranch - Next 9-hole Event Saturday, May 2, 10:00am The next 9 hole event is at Dublin Ranch on Saturday, May 2 at 10:00am. Please arrive by 9:30am to register and warm up. Non-members welcome! Cost is $38.

| 680 Golf 2009 Members & Non-members welcome! For those of you in the 680 Corridor, Mary Ann Pate is going to coordinate a Wednesday night group with the help of Diana Roberson. The home course will be Dublin Ranch but they will try to mix it up and add a new course once a month or so. Play dates will be on Wednesdays with the first tee time being about 5:15pm. The cost is $25 and includes a cart. If you are interested in playing and want to be on the email list for the weekly reminder, please reply back to Mary Ann Pate. She hopes to start in May. |

| PRESIDENT'S CHALLENGE - deadline extended Matching Grant Challenge for Vintner's Charity event in May  Planning on attending the Vintner's Charity event on May 9? Here's the opportunity of a lifetime - contribute even more to a worthy charity by contributing someone else's money! Our President, Pat Block, has issued a matching grant challenge of $10 per player, up to $500, for each signup completed before April 26th for our Vintner's Charity Tournament in Support of Wardrobe For Opportunity. Please accept the challenge and sign up by April 26th! This donation to Wardrobe For Opportunity will be in addition to our Chapter's donation. So support the Chapter and support a great charity! |
| How Low Can You Go? Golf Clinic - Education Committee - Las Positas, April 25  Join us April 25 at Los Positas Golf Course to learn key shots you need to save strokes. This lesson will feature pitching, chipping, bunker play, uneven lies and punch shots when you need to keep the ball low. Andy Nesbit at Los Positas will be leading our class, and includes on course instruction, the best place to learn the game of golf. This event is appropriate for all levels. Your $55 fee includes 2 hours of instruction, made to order lunch and 9 holes of golf on the walkable Executive Course. No carts are used on the Executive Course. For an additional $20 you can upgrade to play the 18 hole course after the event, cart not included in this fee. Tee times for both courses start at 1:00.
