NEB Member Breaks 80!!
On Saturday, April 4, NEB member Patricia Block broke 80 for the first time - with shots to spare! Pat shot a 74 on Blue Rock Spring's par 70 East Course! Her score was witnessed by NEB members Cindy Race, Lora Lee Del Rosario, and Jane Taylorson.

Go play a practice round at your favorite course, but only take 5 clubs. See how well you do. You may find that you get more creative with your shots.

Members Social
Members & Non-members welcome!
 Donna Wagner will host a Members Social at her home in El Cerrito on Tuesday, April 21st at 6pm.
Alice Miller will host a Members Social at her home in Danville on Thursday, April 23rd at 6pm.
Members can attend either function or both! This is not just for new members - although we want to see and meet you too. All members are welcome to socialize and network. All friends are welcome, too, if they are interested in learning more about our chapter. Drinks and appetizers will be provided. This is a no cost event!
RSVP to membership@ewganeb.org at least 3 days before each event and state whether you'll be bringing a friend. The specific address(es) will be provided when you RSVP.

How Low Can You Go?
Golf Clinic - Education Committee -
Las Positas, April 25
Join us April 25 at Los Positas Golf Course to learn key shots you need to save strokes. This lesson will feature pitching, chipping, bunker play, uneven lies and punch shots when you need to keep the ball low. Andy Nesbit at Los Positas will be leading our class, and includes on course instruction, the best place to learn the game of golf. This event is appropriate for all levels.
Your $55 fee includes 2 hours of instruction,
made to order lunch and 9 holes of golf on the walkable Executive Course. No carts are used on the Executive Course. For an additional $20 you can upgrade to play the 18 hole course after the event, cart not included in this fee. Tee times for both courses start at 1:00. Golfsmith Women's Night
Thursday, April 16, 6:30-8:30pm
 On Thursday, April 16, Golfsmith will be open exclusively for women. Test the latest clubs at their indoor hitting bays, attend a GolfTEC improvement Centers clinic (where available) addressing women's most common golf swing problems, register for the chance to win great prizes and giveaways. Check the Golfsmith website to find the nearest location.

18 holes golf with cart & prizes at Spring Valley Golf Course in Milpitas. First 12 to sign up will be in a special drawing. Format is stroke play. Please arrive by 10:45am to register and warm up. Non-members welcome! Cost $67.

Golf Events of Interest
Benefit for Women's Cancer Resource Center
The Community Golf Tournament is being held to benefit the Women's Cancer Resource Center (wcrc.org) of Oakland, serving the East Bay. WCRC is a non-profit organization that began in 1986. WCRC staff and volunteers currently provide logistical and emotional support and advocacy services for women with cancer. All services are free and available to women with any type of cancer.
The tournament will be held on Sunday, May 31, at Tilden Park Golf Course. Entry fee is $100. 10:00 am registration and contests; lunch and prizes. Register at www.wcrc.org.
