18 holes golf with cart & prizes at Spring Valley Golf Course in Milpitas. First 12 to sign up will be in a special drawing. Format is stroke play. Please arrive by 10:45am to register and warm up. Non-members welcome! Cost $67.

Create a special score card for yourself and track your own personal par. For some, that could mean a par 5 becomes a par 7. Whatever seems right for you and your game. See how well you do against your own par.

Callippe Preserve Results
Fifteen members teed off at Callippe on Saturday, March 28, four playing scramble and the rest stroke play.
Closest to the pin winners were:
Hole #4: Donna Coll at 13' 11"
Hole #6: Pat Block at 17' 6"
Hole #13: Laura Scott at 13'
Hole #16: Cathy Pementell at 32"
Mary Jane Hodges won the drawing for the first 10 registered.
Jane Taylorson won most lost balls with 5!

 The next 9-hole event takes place April 11, time TBA (keep an eye on the website for the time), at Las Positas Golf Course in Livermore. Guests are welcome. Cost $21.

How Low Can You Go?
Golf Clinic - Education Committee -
Las Positas, April 25
Join us April 25 at Los Positas Golf Course to learn key shots you need to save strokes.
Last year this event was quite a hit and players requested we repeat it before the Championship. This lesson well feature pitching, chipping, bunker play, uneven lies and punch shots when you need to keep the ball low. Andy Nesbit at Los Positas will be leading our class, and includes on course instruction, the best place to learn the game of golf. This event is appropriate for all levels. Your $55 fee includes Instruction, Lunch and 9 holes of golf. Cart not included. If you have any questions, email us at education@ewganeb.org. Deadline to sign up is April 16, 2009.

Golfsmith Women's Night
Thursday, April 16, 6:30-8:30pm
 On Thursday, April 16, Golfsmith will be open exclusively for women. Test the latest clubs at their indoor hitting bays, attend a GolfTEC improvement Centers clinic (where available) addressing women's most common golf swing problems, register for the chance to win great prizes and giveaways.
