Our next 9-hole event is at the
Las Positas Executive Course near the Livermore
airport off Hwy 580 at 9:00am.
Cost is $30.50 (includes late fee) to walk (no electric/gas
carts allowed). $3 extra if you need to rent a pull
cart.
The deadline has passed but there are still
two spaces left at the time this eblast was mailed. You
can register as long as space is available. Contact

Vintner's 18-Hole
Charity/Golf/Wine & Dine
event

 It's time
again for our popular Vintner Golf Event. This event benefits
our charities: Wardrobe for Opportuinty and LPGA-USGA Girls
Golf.
Vintner's Golf Course is located in the Napa
Valley in Yountville off Highway 29. This is a fun 18-hole
scramble event that includes free range balls, games
and prizes, goody bags and concludes with a delicious
hot lunch after the event.
The cost of this event is $90 and the deadline to
register is Friday, May 23rd. We will also sell tickets for
mulligans, split-the-pot, etc. Shotgun start at 9:30am.

Women

Poppy Ridge Golf
Course in Livermore is having their 3rd annual breakfast,
seminar, clinic, box lunch, 9-holes of "best ball"
golf followed by a networking reception.
Women can get more information and register for the seminar and
clinic ($49) or the full day 9-5pm ($89) by clicking

July 12th - Hiddenbrooke - This EWGANEB
event will also be a club qualifier for NCGA/NEB
members. Only 3 players will advance.
August 28th, Thursday - Local qualifying at Ancil
Hoffman, Foxtail, Franklin Canyon, Monarch Bay, Poppy Hills, Poppy
Ridge, Rancho Solano, Santa Clara, Shoreline, Sunnyvale,
and Wildhawk.
Sept 29-30, Monday/Tuesday - Championship at Poppy

2008 S.W.I.N.G. (Skillful Women Inspiring New
Golfers) Program?  Please email education@ewganeb.org and specify if you're
interested in being a mentor (experienced golfer willing to guide a
new golfer in golf etiquette and pace of play and pair up with that
new golfer at some fun golf events) or mentee (new golfer). An
Education Committee member will contact you.

members enjoyed a warm day of golf in Vallejo. Final scores
were adjusted based on the Course Handicap for each golfer.

Championship Qualifying Results
EWGA
members played a qualifying round at Mare Island
Golf Course and Poppy Ridge
GC last Thursday.
Pat Block advances with a net 74 in the
Director Flight and Joyce Glatt advances with a net
71 in the Secretary Flight. They will play at Poppy
Hills GC in Pebble Beach at the end of this
month.
