Wardrobe for
Opportunity Accessory Drive for March 8
Kickoff
The Northeast Bay Chapter
has proudly supported Wardrobe for Opportunity for the past 3
years. As part of this support, we provide a cash donation
from funds raised at our Vintner's golf event, host a table at their
annual fund raising luncheon, and encourage our membership to
support through clothing and accessory donations delivered to the
Wardrobe drop off locations all year
long.
Michelle Augenstein, Executive Director
will be presenting a brief overview and receiving a check from
NEB-EWGA at our March 8 kickoff event. We will also be doing a
special accessories drive at this event. Please clean out
drawers/closets and collect from your friends for the following
business/work appropriate items:
Jewelry (new or gently used)
Purses (new or gently used)
Shoes (new or gently used)
Scarves (new or gently used)
In addition to the above the following are always appreciated
and in demand.
Makeup (new/unopened)
Pantyhose (new/unopened)
If you do have clothing donations - please review the
requirements and drop off locations and make these contributions on
your own, before or after the kickoff event.
And are we ever proud of our own chapter members who also
volunteer and support Wardrobe individually. Laura
Scott, NEB Chapter Secretary, is a "dresser" and
Paula Heckler is a board member.

San Mateo Golf
Show Volunteers
Needed
Volunteers are needed for the Northern
California Golf Show at the San Mateo County Events Center, March
14-16. Joanne Segovia, our Sponsorship Chair,
attended this show last year before she had even heard about the
EWGA. She spoke to an EWGA representative from the San
Francisco chapter who inspired her to join. She signed up
right after the show.
Here's your chance to get the word out about EWGA and
support women's golf! The golf show provides us a booth in
exchange for our help at the show - such a deal! Volunteers
will be staffing the EWGA booth, passing out fliers at the door and
assisting in the activity areas. Shifts are available on 3/14
(10:30-6), 3/15 (8:30-5), and 3/16 (8:30-4). Volunteers will receive
free show admission, free parking, activity coupons, and for those
staying the whole day, free lunch! How can you beat
that?!
For more information about the golf show click: www.norcalgolfshow.com . NCGA card carrying
members who do not volunteer can receive $3 off admission fee.
For non-NCGA members there is a $1 off admission coupon at the above
website. |
