March Kick-off
  Breakfast & Golf

Saturday, March 8th

Lone Tree GC Clubhouse The first event of the year is almost here!  It's just 8 1/2 weeks away!

Ginny Taylor, Events Chair, has secured the Lone Tree Golf Course in Antioch for our 2008 Kick-Off Breakfast and Golf Event for Saturday, March 8th.  Save this date now!  You don't want to miss this event!

Invite your friends, co-workers, anyone (18 or older) who is interested in golf and may want to join a women's golf association (or just wants to have breakfast with a great bunch of women!).  Information will be provided at the breakfast about our chapter, the year's golf events, membership, benefits and more.  Drawings for great prizes will also be available.  Members from other chapters are welcome, too.

Cost will be a reasonable $30 for breakfast or $90 for breakfast and golf.  Non-members are also welcome to join us for this golf event.  It is the same price for members and non-members.  On-line registration will be available soon.
2008 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am
Feb 4-10

Top professionals and Hollywood celebrities play alongside the best golfers.  Phil Mickelson won the 2007 AT&T Pro-Am and will be back to defend his title.

For more information or to by tickets to this event - click here or phone 800-541-9091.  Buy tickets before January 16th for the best prices.
Cart Paths
Submitted by the Education Committee

Path Q - When can I get relief?

A - If the cart path interferes with your ball, stance or swing, you can drop the ball (without penalty) within one club-length of the nearest point where you can stand and swing without interference from the path, as long as it's not any closer to the hole.  You can play your next shot from the path if you wish.  However, if you want to move the ball you have to play from a spot where you're totally clear of the path, not from a spot where you are still touching the path.
Volunteers Needed
We need you!

We need YOU Volunteers are needed to help on the day of the Kick-Off.  We will need help with setting up tables, decorating, greeting, checking in attendees, overseeing information tables and other important responsibilities.  It will be rewarding and a lot of fun.

Volunteers are needed throughout the year.  You can volunteer for single events (like the Kick-Off) or join a committee for a year.  All the committees can use your help.  Some of those committees are:
Golf Events
Membership
Sponsorship
Social Events
Education
Communications

To volunteer to help at the Kick-Off or to obtain information about or join a committee contact Ann Marie McGee at leadership@ewganeb.org

NCGA Golf Outings
