Golf Trivia for Lefties
Golf World Magazine

According to the National Golf Foundation, the percentage of left-handed golfers in the US is up compared to 21 years ago.  In 1986 when the NGF last gathered data on southpaw golfers, lefties accounted for 5.6 percent of the playing population; the number is now 7.4 percent.  Better equipment and the presence of Phil Mickelson and Mike Weir may, in part, explain the increase.
