Semi-Final Volunteers Needed at Hiddenbrooke

Administrator for 2007 is looking for volunteers to assist at the
EWGA semi-final tournament at Hiddenbrooke in Vallejo on July 28th.
Opportunities are as follows:
Friday evening 7/27 registration prior to Rules Meeting,
and/or
Saturday 7/28:
Registration 6-9:30am
Spotters 7-10am
Spotters 8-11am
Spotters 9-12noon
Spotters 10-1pm
Spotters 11-2pm
Spotters 12-3pm
Scoreboard 12-3pm
Awards set-up 2-3pm

Next EWGA Golf Event at
Franklin Canyon GC
Saturday, August
11th
 Our next 18-hole golf
event will be at Franklin Canyon GC in Hercules
just off of Highway 4 on Saturday, August 11th.
This popular par-72 course has a driving range, putting green,
and chipping area.
The cost is $60 and includes green fee, shared cart, water,
games and prizes!
Deadline to register is next week!

Play
Designated Leader/Captain
Pace
of Play is very important in every round of golf. In
competition, players can be assessed strokes or loss of hole.
It is also a courtesy to your fellow golfers (in your foursome
and those behind you) not to take an excessive amount of time
getting to your ball or taking too many practice strokes before
hitting the ball.
"Ready golf" is not only encouraged, it is
preferred during non-competition golf outings.
At future chapter events, a foursome leader/captain will be
designated to help keep play moving along. Thanks for your
cooperation. |

This Saturday, July 28th,
Monarch Bay Golf Course in San Leandro will have
Nike and Callaway drivers, fairway woods, irons, and wedges at
discounted prices. Try them out on the driving range before
you buy.
Monarch Bay GC is located in San Leandro. Take the Marina
Blvd. West exit off of Hwy 880 and follow it all the way to the
bay. The golf course is on the left just beyond Fairway

August Night Golf" on Friday, August 10th.
This is a 9-hole shotgun and BBQ.
Check in at 4:15pm, shotgun starts at 5pm.

$55 public rate includes green fee, cart, and range

2008 Chapter Elections
are coming
As we move through
the Elections for our 2008 Elected Board Positions and
identify 2008 committee volunteers, members of the nominating
committee and friends of the nominating committee will be contacting
each chapter member. Our question is the same for each of you
- What would you like to do for next year -
2008? It's your chance to let us know your interests
and skills that you would like to share with the chapter. We
will be calling in the next 3-4 weeks and look forward to talking to
each of you!

twilight golf this Friday (7/27) and next Friday (8/3) at
Franklin Canyon GC in Hercules then contact
Meredith Pence instead of Ginny Taylor. Ginny
will not be able to take your reservation for the
next two Fridays but Meredith has offered to be the
contact person for Franklin Fridays during that time.
Please email her by 9am on
Thursday. Cost for 9-holes is $12 without a cart or
$18 with a cart and includes a beverage coupon.

golf.
