On Saturday, June 30th at Blue Rock Springs GC in Vallejo, 30
members participated in the EWGANEB Chapter Championship. Part
of the largest amateur women's golf event in the world!
It started at 9:00am with an informative

Everyone received a "goodie bag" and shortly thereafter the
competition started.

provided a memorable event. Sara
Swafford took pictures of all the players at the first
tee. Volunteers drove the course providing free water, granola
bars and encouragement. The Rules Officials were available to
help with rules questions and show us how to take relief from cart
paths and "abnormal" ground conditions, etc.
At the end of the tournament a buffet of salads, chicken and
cheese quesadillas, fruit, and a non-hosted bar were
waiting. Excitement, great stories of the day and laughter
filled the air, while volunteers calculated the scores.
Soon - Cindy was writing the scores and the winners on the
leader board.

Each winner was given an award of a lovely
maplewood picture frame containing a picture of their
foursome and engraved with the EWGA logo, event, flight and Low
Gross or Low Net. They will go on to the EWGA Semi-Finals at
Hiddenbrooke on Saturday, July 28th and compete against other
EWGA chapters from Northern California and the entire state of
Nevada.
