Rules Clinic at Blue Rock Springs in Vallejo. Don't miss

help at the Chapter Championship on Saturday, June 30th.

Blue Rock Springs - East, Vallejo
We have 28 members registered for this event! There will
be competition in 4 flights as well as 2 scramble
teams!
Did you know that the EWGA-NEB Chapter Championship is part of
the largest amateur women's golf event in the world? It's
great for golfers of all skill levels - the competition is
"flighted", so each player only plays against others with similar
handicaps.
There will be 2 winners in each flight - Low Gross
(lowest score before deducting course handicap) and Low
Net (lowest score after deducting your course handicap).
Remember to count all strokes and penalties and hole-out (you
can't stop counting/playing at your posting maximum).
Flights determined by handicap index for stroke play:
Championship: 0.0 - 13.0
1st Flight: 13.1 - 20.0
2nd Flight: 20.1 - 27.0
3rd Flight: 27.1 - 33.0
4th Flight: 33.1 and higher
The stroke play winners and 1st place Scramble Team will
advance to the Semi-Final Championship at
Hiddenbrooke on July 28th!
USGA Rules of Golf apply.
Rules clinic starts at 9:00am.

| Deer Ridge GC results

We had great weather at this
challenging golf course. A comfortable wind and temperatures
in the high 70s or low 80s. We played a modified Stableford
where one point was given for each bogey, 2 points
for pars, 4 points for birdies, and 6 points for eagles and
members were divided into flights.
The 3-member scramble team made up of Dorene Davis,
Lora Lee Del Rosario and Patricia Ramirez
scored 30 points and won against the 1st flight.
The other winners were:
2nd flight - Julie DeLisle (15 points),
3rd flight - Rita Vitaliano who won the tie
breaker against Jane Taylorson (12 points),
4th flight - Berta Acker (10 points).
Kim Zakar won closest-to-the-pin on the par 3
- 7th hole (117 yds).
All winners received gift

9-Hole Sundays at Monarch
Bay - Marina course
Sunday, July
22nd
A half-hour clinic by pro, John
Bearden, will be followed by 9-holes on the Marina course
in San Leandro.
Clinic starts at 12:30pm
Tee times start at 1:00pm
Sign-in and pay for clinic and 9-hole in pro shop prior to
clinic.
The Marina 9-Hole executive course is all 3 and 4 pars.
It is a flat course, good for walking and can be completed in 2
hours.
Cost is $22 and includes clinic and 9-holes. Push
cart or electric cart is extra.
Deadline to register is Monday, July 16th.

We qualify to send one 2-person team.

Entry Fee: $110 per team (plus $220 per team if you
qualify for championship.)
Must be 55 years old by 9/17/07.
Must use a maximum index of 18.4
