Ridge GC in Brentwood

Deer Ridge GC is new on this year's
calendar. It is located at 801 Foothill Drive in
Brentwood, just across the street from Shadow Lakes GC.
We have 24 players registered for this event!
Water, games and prizes will be provided. The temperature
is expected to be in the 80s!

Franklin Canyon - Lessons,
Lunch & 9-Holes of Golf
Saturday,
June 23rd
 Another
popular 9-hole event that includes lessons, a box lunch,
and 9 holes of golf (including a cart) for a very
reasonable $25!
Arrive at 9am for lessons, 12:30pm for 9-holes of golf.
Deadline to register is Wednesday, June 20th.

Chapter
Championship
Saturday, June 30th at
Blue Rock Springs - East, Vallejo
We have 28 members registered for this event! There will
be competition in 4 flights as well as 2 scramble
teams!
Did you know that the EWGA-NEB Chapter Championship is part of
the largest amateur women's golf event in the world? It's
great for golfers of all skill levels - the competition is
"flighted", so each player only plays against others with similar
handicaps.
There will be 2 winners in each flight (Low Gross and Low
Net)
Flights determined by handicap index for stroke play:
Championship: 0.0 - 13.0
1st Flight: 13.1 - 20.0
2nd Flight: 20.1 - 27.0
3rd Flight: 27.1 - 33.0
4th Flight: 33.1 and higher
The stroke play winners and 1st place Scramble Team will
advance to the Semi-Final Championship at
Hiddenbrooke on July 28th!
USGA Rules of Golf apply.
Mandatory rules clinic starts at 9:00am.

9-Hole Sundays at Monarch
Bay - Marina course
Sunday, July
22nd
A half-hour clinic by pro, John
Bearden, will be followed by 9-holes on the Marina course
in San Leandro.
Clinic starts at 12:30pm
Tee times start at 1:00pm
Sign-in and pay for clinic and 9-hole in pro shop prior to
clinic.
The Marina 9-Hole executive course is all 3 and 4 pars.
It is a flat course, good for walking and can be completed in 2
hours.
Cost is $22 and includes clinic and 9-holes. Push
cart or electric cart is extra.
Deadline to register is Monday, July 16th.

3rd place - NCGA
Poppy Hills, June
4th & 5th
Our very own EWGANEB chapter
member, Joyce Glatt, tied for 3rd place in the 46th
Annual NCGA Senior Net Championship at Poppy Hills last
week.
Joyce writes: "It was a lot of fun and pretty surprising that I
placed, considering my 10 on the first day. Poppy
Hills GC was beautiful and all the players and NCGA
officials and volunteers were super.
I want to thank EWGA-NEB members Jill
Honeyman and Diane Yasuda for helping me
qualify by playing a practice round with me at the Poppy
Ridge qualifying site."
