The flagstick has been removed from the hole and is laying on the green. Sally is putting and while the ball is in motion Betty sees that the ball is going to hit the flagstick and quickly picks it up. Is there a penalty?

In match play Betty losses the hole and in stroke play she is assessed a two stroke penalty. Sally on the other hand is not penalized in either case.

This is the only PGA Nationwide Tour event in Northern California this year. Our chapter has been assigned a hole for the entire tournament! We are looking for at least 6 volunteers for each day, Wednesday through Sunday. Each volunteer is asked to volunteer for at least 4 shifts (or 2 days).

Those that do will receive:

• a gift certificate for a free round of golf at the Course at Wente Vineyards
• a pullover, shirt, hat or visor
• a lapel pin
• volunteer credentials & parking
• meals during your shift
• 3 admission tickets to the tournament

March 2nd, Friday - Deadline to submit Volunteer Application for the Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship at Wente Vinyards

March 3rd, Saturday - EWGANEB Kick-off breakfast at Round Hill CC in Alamo, 9:00am to noon
